A recent paper, Genomic Selection: Essence, Applications and Prospects,” published in the respected journal The Plant Genome, explores the potential of genomic selection as part of a special issue on crop genetics, genomics, and biotechnology. The study was coauthored by Professor Jianming Yu, with lead author Diana Escamilla, a former postdoctoral researcher in Yu’s lab who now works in private industry as a crop breeding specialist.
